- I have been in the robotics field for 16 years, and worked on a massive variety of projects, including but not limited to humanoid robotics, autonomous driving, consumer robot products, swarm theory, drones for land, sea, and air, autonomous construction and much more.
- I have launched over a dozen products into the market, built millions of robots for international scale, and continue to consult companies from startups to fortune 500 companies on how to bring their technology into the real world. Over the last year I have been mostly focused on humanoids (this isn't the first time I have been in this field), and supported market differentiation, competitor analysis, engineering R&D, and much more in the humanoid robot space.
- I am very familiar with the current state of the art technologies, manufacturing, component availability, and engineering timelines. I am also extremely familiar with both Tesla and BYD as companies, their past activities and the feasibility/success of their current and past promises.
Interview GoalDiscussing BYD's plans for humanoid robots and evaluate the credibility of several key claims. We’ll explore whether the announced delivery timeline of December 2025 is realistic, if the projected $10,000 price point is feasible, and whether the robot’s advertised capabilities—such as doing laundry or washing cars—are technically plausible. We’ll also compare the pace of development with Tesla and discuss when it might match or surpass BYD in features and affordability.
