He recently co-founded Energy Transition International and served as a member of the Technical Advisory Board of DOE/NETL’s SMART initiative for CCUS. He was associated with the University of Houston and University of Southern California as a professor. He served as president of Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and received its honorary member award in 2018.
- His consistent history of outstanding performance and visionary leadership in the areas of reservoir characterization, energy industry data acquisition, 3D seismic, signal processing, seismic modeling, hydraulic fracturing, smart oil field technologies, seep detection and carbon capture and sequestration (CCS), has earned him several acclaims.
- Expertise in the oil & gas sector is diverse. It spans exploration, drilling, and field development during the entire life cycle of the oil field. He has also have expertise in the energy transition issues (e.g. geothermal and CCUS).
