Ticker(s): PFEDr. Andrew Ukleja is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and works as a Gastroenterologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and BI-Milton Hospital. He also serves as a Director of Community Endoscopy for BIDMC. He finished his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, Florida. He previously worked at Cleveland Clinic Florida for 17 years, serving as a Director of the Nutrition Support Team and also running a small Intestinal Failure Program. He is a past President of Florida Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. He also has held leadership positions in the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition. He held an appointment as a Clinical Affiliate Associate Professor of Medicine at St. George’s University, School of Medicine. His special areas of interest include: enteral and parenteral nutrition, intestinal failure, and gastrointestinal dysmotility. Dr. Ukleja has developed national and international reputation based on his expertise in nutrition support, intestinal failure, gastric dysmotility and bariatric surgery complications. Dr. Ukleja has published more than 40 scholarly articles in the peer-reviewed literature.
